Raised on the outskirts of Toronto and a childhood friend of Lloyd Wilks, Jill Price's mixed media approach is a true reflection of the numerous rich experiences she had growing up and during her travels as an adult.
Now in private & corporate collections, Jill's work is represented at The Westland Gallery in London, Ontario and at Circle Arts Gallery in Tobermory. Her work has also been purchased by the Bank of Montréal and was selected to represent Canada at the World Art Games Conference in Turkey in 2012. Outside of her practice, she works as the Curator & Education Officer at Quest Art School + Gallery in Midland, Ontario. Jill also works as part-time faculty in the Art & Design Fundamentals Program at Georgian College and will be attending OCAD University in the fall in order to work towards her MFA in interdisciplinary studies.
The donated work for this auction is from Price's "Fabricated Landscape" series, mixed media textile works that visually document observed undeveloped pockets of land nestled within her city limits that still point to rural beginnings.
